One thing that I liked about JCreator was that it gave great traces when an exception occurred. Visual Studio gives shitty traces, and that ticks me off.

edit: Another thing I don't really like is changing code to be more understandable when it works. "Don't fix it if it ain't broke." For instance, switching an array to "be indexed" starting from 1 (really, 0 is just ignored) because the front-end gains info starting at 1 isn't necessarily the best idea - you can fix it through code (just reference x-1), and if you have a lot of code that already works like that, trying to switch the indexing method tends to create a whole lot of problems. And due to Visual "I give shitty traces" Studio [and yes, that IS its middle name], they're a lot more difficult to fix.
