Now that Afton's pointed out that JSR has an online Web Design course, I'm very interested in checking out JSR for some classes (since VCU doesn't have stuff like that). There's the Web Design I course that I want to take, and there's a Visual Arts Foundation class that has an intro to Photoshop that I'd also like to take. WD1 has a class meeting on Mondays from 11:30 - 12:30, so I'm going to see if I can't get out of work for that this coming semester. VAF meets on Mondays from 9 - 12:40 this coming semester, so I'll hold off on that one until Spring or something.

Hmm, I wonder how much of a hassle it's going to be to register for a class at JSR. I don't need it to transfer or anything, so all I really need to do is get into the class and pay for it..

edit: Hmm, there's an "Internet Applications Development (Web Design) Career Studies Certificate" available that's about 30 credits.. Hmm...

edit2: The more I think about this, the more I think I'm going to take 2007 and just do the certificate with JSR. I can take 3 semesters off from VCU before they deactivate my registration, so I can do this and then come back to my CS degree with no problems.

edit3: Also, and I need to talk to the people at JSR about this (will do that soon), but in theory, I should be able to use transfer credit for ITP120, ITE221, and the Gen Ed elective, so maybe I'll even be able to get this done in one semester, since that's 10 out of 28-29 credits already taken care of. I can do 18-19 credits in a semester no problem (that's pretty much what I'm doing now anyway).
