Using my National Merit Scholarship application essay for my essay for UVA.

Please write on a topic of your choice. If an essay question for another college piqued your interest, feel free to submit your response to that question. Please limit your response to one page, or approximately 500 words. And please use the space bar instead of the tab key to create paragraph indentations. Tab spacing will not be preserved when you copy and paste responses from a word processing program.

Going to have fun with this one as well:

c) The Egyptian author Naguib Mahfouz wrote, "Life and death, dreaming and wakefulness; stations for the perplexed soul. It traverses them stage by stage, taking signs and hints from things, groping about the sea of darkness, clinging stubbornly to a hope that smilingly and mysteriously renews itself. Traveler, what are you searching for? What emotions rage in your heart? How will you govern your natural impulses and capricious thoughts? Why do you guffaw with laughter like a cavalier? Why do you shed tears like a child?" What stirs your perplexed soul and why?

Can talk about my minesweeper program with this one:

Discuss experiences that led you to choose an engineering education at UVA and the role that scientific curiosity plays in your life. Please limit your response to half a page, or approximately 250 words. And please use the space bar instead of the tab key to create paragraph indentations.

And I'm very interested to see that UVA has this

a) What is your favorite word, and why?

as an essay possibility, considering teachers at Godwin have been giving that to students as an essay for a while now. Of course, that's probably where they got it, but yeah.
