(no subject)

* List 5 "facts" about yourself.
* Make one of them total and complete BS.
* Post them in your journal.
* See if anyone can correctly guess the fallacious one.

1. My parents have been out of town for the past 3 weeks.
2. My smile has scared people before.
3. It's difficult to tell when I'm angry.
4. I've tried to kill myself.
5. I sleep with a teddy bear.

So it's been quite an uplifting day of work thus far.

(BTB, I saw you walking home, Tenshi.)

So the estimate that I did was the best estimate I've done thus far, at least it felt that way, short of the fact that I didn't book it. :P (They're debating whether they wanna do the shutters now or touch them up themselves and do them with the house all at once.) The lady's actually a teacher at Byrd, and we talked for a while. Apparently, Mrs. Collins left to be a librarian a few days before this year started! Did not know that. Anyway, if they do the shutters this year, I've got the job, so that's good.. just need them to do shutters now. XP (The shutters need it - the paint is peeling off in sheets. x_X)

Went to drop off pre-estimate packages. One guy (whose name I now know how to pronounce >_<) pulls up while I'm in front of his door. Joke around a little (he's my 8 am, though his wife won't be there :(), then he asks, while I'm pulling out (I was in his spot x_x he parks on the curb and not in the driveway) if I could do the estimate now. I'm like, "No? I'm kinda busy; I have a very full schedule." So I'll be seeing him bright and early.

Drop off the last pre-estimate package, and joke around a bit about laundry with the guy's wife, then the guy asks me if I've got a little bit of time. I'm like sure, so he shows me Animusic (which is AMAZING, you all have to check it out!! I'm so ordering it when I have money!!) and Blue Man Group stuff (who are a lot better than I expected; I'm impressed). So that was pretty cool. As I'm leaving, his wife shows me a joke she printed out:

One day my housework-challenged husband decided to wash his sweatshirt. Seconds after he stepped into the laundry room, he shouted to me, "What setting do I use on the washing machine?"

"It depends," I replied. "What does it say on your shirt?"

He yelled back, "University of Oklahoma."

And they say blondes are dumb...

And those guys were a maybe on doing the estimate tomorrow, but should have that one in at 4:30, which is good, because that takes up the spot I've been trying to fill.

All in all, a fun day of work. :) I'm glad. Another scary day of estimates tomorrow; hopefully they'll all be like the one today and I'll just talk to the people for a long whlie; that was good. And she's got very nice, big dogs. :) Lots of fun talking to her.

Oh, and I was doing a bit of orbital marketing after the estimate, and turns out one of the houses there just called into our office because a guy last year painted his windows shut and he hasn't been able to get most of them open (no ladder). The office is supposed to check if the guy is still working for us or not, and if not, I'm the one that'll be fixing that, and he was expecting my call. Opportune that I showed up - I'll talk to John, have him bring down a ladder, and we'll fix him up on Sunday; prompt service is always good. :) Luckily, don't have to fix painting or anything - just have to cut open some windows.

Mm, real food.

:D Haven't had much of that in the last few weeks. XP (Other than lunches.)

Really wish I could have gone with my parents; sounds like it was a blast! I wanna go to Vegas now. And apparently, they have a new hotel called Venice where they actually have a canal and gondola rides! Oooooohhhh...

And I got souveniers. XD Got a thingie with two little decks of Las Vegas cards and 4 little d6, and a thing with 2 big d6, and two thingies of chocolate-covered fruits and berries, and Mom's gonna bring something else that they got me once they finish eating. And they got a couple glasses from Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas. :P
